Dr. Ernie Maggioncalda is a native San Franciscan, born and raised in the Sunset District
and a graduate of Abraham Lincoln High School where he met his future wife, Lynne.  They have 4 grown children and 8 grandchildren and have lived in Pacifica, California since 1971.

Dr. Maggioncalda earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology at the University of San Francisco and later attended USF graduate school to study entomology in the Masters Degree program.  With 4 small children to raise and educate, Dr. Maggioncalda decided to become a dentist and attended Loyola University College of Dental Surgery  in Chicago, Illinois, where he later graduated second in his class upon earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.  Shortly after, Dr. Maggioncalda enlisted in the United States Public Health Service to satisfy his military service commitment.  He was accepted to a general dentistry hospital internship program for one year at the Marine Hospital in Seattle, Washington.  His internship program was followed by a two year assignment with the Bureau of Prisons at Terminal Island, California, where he served as Assistant Dental Officer and Chief Dental Officer with the rank of Lieutenant Commander.

Continuing his dental training after completing his 2 year service obligation with the USPHS,  Dr.Maggioncalda was accepted to the postgraduate Orthodontic Residency program at the University of California Hospital in San Francisco for a 2-year postgraduate degree in the dental specialty of orthodontics.  Dr. Maggioncalda has been practicing orthodontics exclusively for the past 35 years, and is a certified Invisilign provider.  Along with his excellent staff, the total years of orthodontic experience currently in his practice amounts to more than 95 years!  Dr. Maggioncalda’s broad background in general dentistry allows him to coordinate comprehensive treatment requirements with general dentists and oral surgeons for adult patients who present with difficult restorative problems.  For 18 years Dr. Maggioncalda served as Associate Professor of Orthodontics in the post-doctoral orthodontic residency program at the University of the Pacific, Arthur Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco.

MARTINE FIORESI

Martine joined Tingrin Orthodontics in 1980 and has been with the practice for 28 years.
She quickly became a very efficient chairside assistant and in short time learned how to fabricate orthodontic retainers "in house." Martine later moved to the front desk to assume
the duties of Treatment Coordinator and patient scheduling, and eventually became our
Office Manager. She knows all aspects of the business extremely well and can answer
just about any question you may have. Martine was born in Nantes, France, and came to
the U.S.A. at the age of 2 months. She is a Daly City native, a graduate of Jefferson High School. She and her husband, Richard, have 2 grown children and 3 grandchildren. Her number one hobby is spending time with her grandkids. Beyond that, she enjoys
vacationing in Kauai, socializing with friends, and caring for her lovable Chihuahuas.

LESLIE NUNES

Leslie is a California board certified Registered Dental Assistant.She received her RDA certification in 1995.  Leslie joined Tingrin Orthodontics in 1987 after completing her dental training at Bryman  College. She began her work with us as a sterilization assistant and
later became an excellent chairside assistant.  Leslie is a superb orthodontic laboratory technician as well, and can make exceptionally fine orthodontic retainers and other removable orthodontic appliances.  Her 21 years of orthodontic experience in all areas
of patient care make her a very rare employee. Leslie, her husband Dwight and son,
Nate, 10 years old, enjoy outdoor seasonal activities such as dirt bike riding, running, camping, snow boarding and walking their 130 lb. Rottweiler puppy, Thor.

ADELA TOCCHINI

Adela Tocchini joined Tingrin Orthodontics in 1994 as a sterilization assistant and chairside assistant while also attending dental assisting school at Bryman College. She graduated
in 1996 and became board certified as a Registered Dental Assistant in 1997. Adela attended San Francisco City College and received her Associate in Arts degree in 1999.
She is a full-time RDA working chairside, scheduling appointments, providing ongoing hygiene consultation reviews with parents, as well as immediate care for emergencies.
She speaks fluent Spanish, an invaluable asset for our office and our Spanish speaking parents and patients. Adela and her husband, Jim, have two young daughters, Sofhia,
4 years old, and Giana, 6 months old. Other members of their family include Hamcia the hamster, and Tweety the cat.  In her rare spare time Adela enjoys reading and home decoration.
